She is 27 years old and has spent her entire life with the same family, where she has been deeply loved. Due to her owner’s failing health, she was brought to the rescue. Lovie enjoys being at the center of household activity and thrives on attention. After one of her family members passed away, she began plucking the feathers on her tummy and legs; although she still grows some feathers, she has continued to pluck them as they come in. While feather plucking may have become a habit, her beauty shines through. Lovie is hand-tame, gentle with her beak, and provides ample warning if she’s not pleased with something.
