Meet Kirby!

Sweet little Kirby hit a bit of a home run when she found her way into rescue! This lovely cockatiel was found outside near a baseball field, earning her the perfect name.

Kirby is a happy little bird who enjoys the comforts of her cage, where you can often find her singing, chirping, and showing off her impressive bird gymnastics. She’s also been agreeable to a little couch surfing and hanging out near her foster parents while she slowly checks them out from a safe distance.

While Kirby is still a bit apprehensive about her new human friends, her curiosity is shining through. She may need a little time to feel comfortable, but we think there’s a sweet, trusting companion waiting to emerge with the right people by her side.

Kirby is looking for a patient, loving home that will let her settle in at her own pace, respect her boundaries, and show her that humans can be pretty great. With a little time, lots of love, and some gentle encouragement, we think this little songbird will be warming up to her new family before long.
