Meet Sunny and Sky, a devoted parakeet pair whose bond is as bright as their names.

Sunny (female) and Sky (male) have lived side by side, thriving in each other’s company. They’ve done well around other parakeets, but nothing compares to the comfort they find in one another. Wherever one goes, the other follows, especially when it’s time to settle in for the night on their swings, which must be close together for maximum coziness.

Sky is the bolder of the two. He has a short “fear distance” when millet is involved and is already showing interest in taking treats from a human hand. He isn’t quite ready to commit to hand-feeding just yet, but he’s clearly thinking about it. With patience and gentle consistency, he’s well on his way to becoming more interactive.

Sunny is more cautious and prefers to keep a bit more space. When a hand approaches, she’ll flutter away to a safe perch and observe from there. She’s not ready for close contact, but she feels secure as long as Sky is nearby.
